work

I’ve spent nearly a decade helping social change-makers advocate for underserved communities through social justice research and community healing initiatives. Most of my work has been with nonprofits, including The Dinner Party, The People’s Supper, ExpandED Schools, The RP Group, The Alternative Sexualities Health Research Alliance, and INCITE. My early work was in floral design, which I still do in a freelance capacity via weddings, fundraisers, and community-based workshops.

Volunteer-wise, I have worked as a literacy tutor to children from impoverished areas (Reading Partners), an assistant to disabled children and adults (Ability First), a writing mentor to LGBTQ+ young adults (Girls Write Now), and a peer facilitator for bereavement support groups (The Dinner Party). I’m currently a writing juror for the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards and look forward to continuing to positively impact creative youth communities in NYC.
